Our mission

We support community transformation by providing a Christ centered education and positive spiritual development through our school and church located in Fontaine, Haiti.

Our story

While living in United States, Jude has used his vacation time and any available resources to return to Haiti whenever possible. On these return trips, Pastor Jude has continued to provide discipleship and spiritual guidance to the Philadelphia Church, (known as Eglise Philadelphie de Fontaine), continued to act as the school administrator of Ecole Philadelphie de Fontaine and has remained an active leader in the community. Under his leadership, the school has grown from 47 students to 300 students in grades pre-school to the 12th grade and employs 48 teachers, 7 administrative staff, 4 kitchen staff and 3 guards. Jude continues to actively lead mission trips to Fontaine/Pignon.

Jude Augusma is a Haitian born pastor and educator with over 20 years of experience in International ministry. Pastor Jude has devoted his life to the calling God has placed in his heart to spread the Gospel to the world, starting in his community of Fontaine, Haiti.

Growing up on the small island nation was extremely difficult. Enduring the hardship of poverty, political upheaval, and disease made him question why God made this his home. But God is good and He is good all the time. God answered Jude's doubts and prayers through blessings beyond his comprehension. In 1996, through God's divine intervention, Pastor Jude was led to the small fellowship of Philadelphia Church in the neighboring community of Fontaine. A single room shed was being used as an all-purpose educational space. Here, God gave Pastor Jude the opportunity to use his passions of preaching, teaching and discipleship within the church community.

In 1997, a group of short term Missionaries from Iowa asked Jude if there were any areas of need in the surrounding communities. Jude introduced them to the small struggling fellowship in Fontaine where God used them to provide the resources needed to build a new building that would accommodate additional students. This was the beginning of God's plan to develop a Christian school, plant a church, and plan community development initiatives, now known as Philadelphia Christian Mission of Pignon. Under Pastor Jude's leadership, the first Christian school was started in the Fontaine community now known as "Eccole Philadelphie de Fontaine."

In May 2005, due to circumstances beyond his control, Jude and his wife Rosiana moved their young family to the United States. Jude was been blessed to be able to find work, provide for his family, and seek educational opportunities for himself, his wife, and their 3 boys.

With each blessing, God has reminded him of the importance of never forgetting where he came from. Through all these circumstances, the yearning of his heart has always been to return to full time ministry in Haiti.

When in the US, Pastor Jude resides in Waukee, Iowa. Pastor Jude and his wife are in the process of transitioning to full time ministry in Haiti. Their desire is to be able to focus all their efforts on fulfilling the mission of their ministry known as Philadelphia Christian Mission of Pignon.

Since the school’s inception in 1997, the school has experienced times of financial hardship and uncertainty. But God continued to remain faithful. At a particularly financially desperate time in 2009, when the school was on the verge of closing its doors, God miraculously connected Pastor Jude with The Korean Church of Chicago (KCC). Through the faithful financial partnership of KCC, the school has continued to flourish. God used KCC to provide the necessary funds to be able to pay the teachers and administrative staff salaries, and to build additional classrooms to accommodate the growing school.

Our statement of faith

We believe man was created in the image of God and the disobedience of the first man marred that image, creating an eternal division between God and man. Because of the sin of the first man, every person is born in sin.

We believe the sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ was necessary to atone for the sinfulness and guilt of each person, who would otherwise be subject to God’s judgment and punishment. Our right standing with God is made sure because of His resurrection.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe God offers eternal life as a free gift and that it must be received by faith alone through God’s grace alone. The life that comes from this gift is a permanent possession of the one receiving it.

We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, and that God has provided it as our all-sufficient guide for salvation and the Christian life. We believe that God is the creator of the universe, and that although He is one, He exists in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
